Community Lift Accessible Transportation Service Announcement

Introducing Our New Accessible Bus for Osoyoos, Oliver, and Okanagan Falls!

We are thrilled to announce a new accessible bus service to support seniors and residents facing physical, mental, or financial barriers in accessing essential services. This service aims to make transportation more accessible for medical appointments and community resources.

Service Details

Our accessible bus will operate on a set weekly schedule, serving specific destinations each day. Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on availability and demand, as we are in the initial phase of the service and are eager to gauge community interest. Advance registration is required:

  • Mondays
    Route: Osoyoos to Penticton
    Pick-Up: From residences in Osoyoos, Oliver, and Okanagan Falls
    Stops: Penticton Hospital and additional stops as needed
  • Tuesdays
    Route: Osoyoos to Kelowna
    Pick-Up: From residences in Osoyoos, Oliver, and Okanagan Falls
    Stops: Kelowna Hospital and other clinics as needed
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays
    Route: Osoyoos to Oliver
    Pick up: From Residences within Osoyoos, Oliver and Ok Falls
    Departure Time from Osoyoos: 8:45 - 9:30 AM
    In Oliver: Transport within Oliver until 12:00 PM
    Return to Osoyoos: 12:45 PM
 

Accessing the Service

Cost of Service

  • Within Osoyoos/Oliver: $2.50 (round trip)
  • To Penticton: $5.00 (round trip)
  • To Kelowna: $10.00 (round trip)
    Vouchers are available for pre-purchase at our offices, or you may pay the driver in cash (exact change required).

Additional Details for Riders

Attendants: Riders needing extra assistance may bring an attendant to help with building access, stairs, or additional requirements beyond the accessible door. Caregivers must be able-bodied adults (18+ years) and may travel free of charge.

Drop-Offs: Additional drop-off points may be requested by contacting the driver in advance.

Booking Information

Notice: We require a minimum of 3 business days' notice to book a ride.

Registration: All clients must pre-register for trips to help us best accommodate your transportation needs.

Same-Day Requests: While we prioritize registered bookings, same-day requests may be accommodated based on availability.
