We are currently seeking a Part Time (18 hours per week) Child & Youth Counsellor.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a person who cares deeply about children and youth and are easily able to build relationships and trust with children of all ages. This will be an eighteen hour per week position and the successful candidate will work in local elementary and high schools.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications will be a Degree in Counselling or related field with experience working with children.

A knowledge of local Indigenous Culture and Traditions will be an asset.

Job Summary

In this role, you will provide a variety of financial duties including but not limited to: payroll, benefits, accounts payable and receivable, contracts, grants and forecasting.

Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, and to work under pressure, while maintaining confidentiality at all times is a priority in our organization.

Qualifications

Must have completed grade 12 and post-secondary courses in areas such as bookkeeping, payroll and/or office procedures.

Must be proficient in QuickBooks.

We are currently seeking a full time Executive Assistant to support our Executive Director.

(Monday – Thursday) 30 hours per week.

Job Summary

In this role, you will provide a variety of secretarial and receptionist duties. A respectful and compassionate interaction with our clients is always our top priority.

You will be involved in assisting the Executive Director in many aspects, including helping with the property management of an affordable housing complex.

Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, and to work under pressure, while maintaining confidentiality at all times is paramount to this position.

Qualifications

Desert Sun requires the completion of Grade 12 and post secondary secretarial courses, or an equivalent in education and experience. Five years of general office experience, including administrative and reception duties would be an asset.
