Better at Home is new program designed to help seniors remain independent at home. The United Way of the Lower Mainland supports seniors to age with dignity, and with money provided by the BC government.
Through professional and volunteer support, Better at Home helps seniors with simple-day-to-day tasks, thereby helping seniors maintan their independence and stay conneted with their community.
A range of non-medical home support services
Fees for Better at Home are determined on a sliding scale based on an ability to pay, and are subject to some local variables. Services offered reflect the different needs of each community. Examples include:
